Arts Wave Offices
Formerly known as the Fine Arts Fund, Art Wave is one of the oldest arts funding organizations in the nation. It supports dozens of arts groups throughout the Cincinnati, Ohio area who provide a diverse array of art.
After spending about 80 years in its previous location, Art Wave needed new office space and wanted to move into the thriving Over-the-Rhine neighborhood. After Jeff Raser’s team of architects analyzed several sites, Arts Wave decided to locate their offices in an historic pharmacy warehouse building.
Arts Wave wanted to have an open office plan – with some private space amenities – to encourage creativity and collaboration. Wanting to spend its money on arts organizations and not its own offices, Arts Wave directed Raser and his design team to do the most with a limited budget. By making simple moves with modest office furniture, flooring, and simple materials like plywood and metal mesh, the design maintains the openness of the warehouse space while creating intimate places for working.
